Lyposuction | Liposuction Cost

Take a good look at yourself in the mirror.  Or ask your partner to look at you for a perhaps less-biased opinion.  What do you see in your body or face that displeases you?  Is it fat cheeks? Overflowing muffin tops?  A really bad overhanging belly from the side?  Saddle bags?  Thick arms?

Whatever it is you see that does not please you or your partner, perhaps there is a way out.

Diet and exercise, so the health freaks say.  Easy to say.  The discipline must be there.  The perseverance must be there.  You need to know how to diet, where to exercise, how to stick to your self-imposed regimen.  You also need to know that while this regimen may work, it can work too well on the wrong places.  Given the right combination of diet and exercise and discipline, the overall fat may go, but so do the important parts which you want to keep, such as the size of the breasts, for example.

So what do you do?  Would you consider liposuction (also spelled lyposuction), which is a very targetted fat removal procedure?  Chances are you would, especially if the liposuction cost is reasonable, side effects minimal, and the procedure gives you fast results.  This way you avoid the trauma of dieting and dieting and discovering that things don’t work as fast as you thought, or the way you want them to.

Liposuction costs money.  There’s no two ways about it.  This is one reason why plastic surgeons drive big flashy cars that we cannot fit into before the liposuction procedure, and cannot afford to get into after the procedure.

Obviously you will need to work out the cost of liposuction before you decide that you want to go through the procedure.  The costs will include

1.  The surgical fees.  This depends on where the type of lyposuction procedure to be performed.  Thus the liposuction prices vary depending on the location on the body, the size of the area affected, the amount of fat to be removed, as well as other factors such as the location (region, state, country, or even continent) of the procedure to be done, and the surgeon’s fee, which will vary according to whether the surgeon himself prices his fees to market or has such a high opinion of his own skills that he will charge higher than any other.  It is not a good idea to simply choose the cheapest surgeon around without knowing about the quality of his work, as often one ends up with problems such as uneven areas of fat left over, or areas of numbness where there should not be, or even worse complications such as bleeding or fat or air embolism.  Opinions of friends who have gone through a particular surgeon will help a lot in deciding on which surgeon you choose.

2.  The non-surgical fees.  This includes cost of the operating room, the anesthetic fees if any, pre-operative fees and operation supplies.
Thus the total cost of lyposuction can vary from $1500 to $6000 for an arm liposuction, to $3000 to $8000 for abdominal liposuction.
Few, if any, insurance companies will ever cover the cost of lyposuction procedures, as this is considered a cosmetic procedure.  However there are surgical practices which will help arrange for financing for such procedures if necessary.  Of course the moneyed patient will pay up front for the procedure.  Other modes of payment will include installment payments, and credit card payments.  The choice is yours.
